The mats are rolled out, which only means one thing – the wrestling team is ready to tumble and rumble. The 2021-2022 team is looking for a fresh new beginning with a young core this year. The past 2 years have been a battle for the wrestling crew, along with many other UDJ sports teams, in that they had to battle how to have a success sports season through COVID as well as making new adjustments to losing senior leadership. The 2021 senior captains for this UDJ wresting season include Sean Mammen and River Sarsfield.  Don’t let this new team fool you; with 15 wrestlers on the roster and a team with 8 new faces, this crew is hungry for a districts repeat. The UDJ wrestling team’s first match will be Saturday, December 11th at Huron High School located in New Boston. Cub fans can come cheer them on at The High for their first home match on January 22 in the main gym.
