Aidan Hutchinson, a defensive end for the Detroit Lions, suffered a severe leg injury after sacking Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott in the third quarter of the game. Hutchinson’s leg seemed to have hit his teammate, causing him to fall on the ground for a few minutes before being carted off by staff, and sent to immediate surgery in Dallas.
After the 47-9 win against the Dallas Cowboys, Hutchinson was diagnosed with a fractured tibia and is estimated to be out for around six months. The replay of the injury was not shown on T.V., as Fox News determined it to be too gruesome to show. In a press conference with the Head Coach of the Lions Dan Campbell, he states, “We move forward,” and is still hopeful for the rest of the season.
As the NFL Sack Leader, Hutchinson is a tragic loss to the Detroit Lions’ squad, fans and players alike are extremely worried for the upcoming games without him.
