The final stretch of pledge Detroit is this week, and the goal of $148,000 is far away. Pledge Detroit is U of D Jesuit’s annual fundraiser for extra circulars and scholarships. The student senate approved an appropriations budget for clubs in late September, setting forth an ambitious plan to use the funds gained by Pledge Detroit. Pledge Detroit committee member, Jack Palizzi ‘25, is pushing Cubs to donate in the final days of the fundraiser, “We have been heavily encouraging students to get their donations in and are working on new prize ideas and events to bring excitement toward raising money for our city.” Donations are open through the school day on October 24th. The collective reward for all Cubs is two additional days off school for reaching a collective total of $148,000.
