Khalil-Lullah Ballentine (‘23)  was honored by the Detroit Urban League for being this year’s recipient of their “Do the Right Thing Award” for leadership. He was recognized for his leadership, work in youth journalism, and the many ways he serves his community. “I appreciate the honor and look to continue writing and bring attention to social issues and continue to be an example to younger generations.” Khalil is a writer for the Cub News and will be making his UDJ Sportscast play by play debut in January.
